After Dennis Shea, the U.S. ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO), criticized Beijing, Zhang Xiangchen, the Permanent Ambassador of China to the WTO, made a speech calling on the United States to promote WTO reform "through consultation on an equal footing".
The United States said Monday that China's "unfair competition" violated WTO rules and harmed foreign enterprises and employees, but said Washington would lead WTO reform efforts.
