Oil prices rose Monday as Washington and China appeared closer to trade agreements, curbing concerns about the prospects for global economic growth.
The international Brent crude oil futures price was $67.26 per barrel at 0.005 GMT, up 14 cents, or 0.2%, from the previous closing price. After touching their highest price since November 16 at $67.73 a barrel, they barely changed at the end of Friday.
West Texas Medium Crude Oil Futures (WTI) crude oil futures price of $57.38 per barrel, 11 cents or 0.2% higher than the previous settlement price. WTI futures rose 0.5% on Friday, hitting a record high of $57.81 a barrel since November 16.
