North Korea said on Tuesday that if Washington responds to its efforts to denuclearize with credible measures and pragmatic actions, the relationship between North Korea and the United States will make "excellent rapid" progress.
The Permanent Representative of the DPRK to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Han Taisong, told the United Nations Conference on Disarmament that Pyongyang would continue its efforts to establish a "lasting and solid peace mechanism" on the Korean Peninsula.
At last June's US-DPRK summit, US President Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un reached a commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. But there has been only sporadic progress since then.
