      The Islamic State (IS) news agency Amaq said Sunday that the militant group was responsible for a series of bombings at a Catholic Church in the Philippine province of Sulu. The explosion killed at least 20 people.
Sunday's attack took place on Jolo Island, a mostly Muslim island in the southern Philippines, which has long been unstable. The explosion was one of the most serious casualties in recent years, and 81 others were injured.
Officials said the first explosion occurred inside the church, and then a second explosion was detonated outside the church as security personnel rushed to the scene.
